Prop 65 Compliance

Prop 65 Compliance Statement

The Molding Genie may contain trace amounts of a chemical that requires notification and warning labels under California’s Proposition 65. This law is also referred to as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. Prop 65 requires the state of California to publish a list of chemicals that are known to cause cancer, birth defects or reproductive harm.

The Molding Genie is made from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, also known as ABS plastic. ABS plastic is not on the Prop 65 list of chemicals. However, there may be trace amounts of styrene that remain on the device after the manufacturing process is complete. Styrene is on the aforementioned list of chemicals. Please refer to the styrene fact sheet from the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment to learn more.
